November Insights โ€“ Reimagining the Web With AI, Spotting Deepfake Scams and Building Tomorrow’s Leaders

Happy November, friends.

The air is getting colder, coffee’s getting stronger and we’re all trying to squeeze those last big pushes before the year ends! It’s that time when inboxes fill up, my calendar is completely full and the to-do lists seem to multiply, but it’s also great to see how far we’ve come this year!

This month, we’re taking a look at some exciting shifts. OpenAI’s new web browser is about to change how we use the web, the ongoing and growing threat of deepfakes, and a couple great leadership articles in the mix too!

I’m also excited to announce that after a lot of behind-the-scenes work, ourย new websiteย is now live! It’s been redesigned to better represent who we are today and how we help businesses keep IT simple. You’ll also find it easier than ever to explore our services so take a look!

Cybersecurity / Technology Articles

This month, OpenAI revealed the next big step with ChatGPT Atlas: a new web browser built around ChatGPT itself! Think of it as an AI assistant that follows you through the internet, helping you research, plan, summarize and take action without needing to leave the page! For now, Atlas is rolling out on macOS, but Windows, iOS and Android versions are on the way as well!

With exciting, new advancements coming in AI, unfortunately, so are the scams. This piece from BDO digs into how deepfakes (AI-generated videos, voices and images) are being used to impersonate real people and businesses. Included in this article is a section about red flags to watch out for, like unnatural eye movements, mismatched lighting, inconsistent audio, etc. Make sure you check out this quick but important read!

Leadership & Personal Growth

Success doesn’t come from big leaps, it’s built from doing the small, sometimes “boring” things over and over again. This article, while over a year old, is such a great read making a strong case for consistency as the real driver of progress, rather than bursts of inspiration. It’s a solid reminder that showing up and following through is truly what can separate good leaders from great ones.

Bulldozing To Success: The Power Of Boring Consistency

Investing in future leaders isn’t just about executives… it’s about growing the next generation from inside your own team. This article outlines four ways to build that pipeline and it really hits close to home for us. Three of our staff members began their careers as interns for 365 Technologies and have now been with us for 9, 8 and 7 years! When you believe in people early, and give them the chance, the tools and the room to grow, they often stay and help you build something lasting.
