April Insights – When AI Gets Too Powerful, Tech Issues in Space and What Grounded Leadership Looks Like
Happy April, friends.
April is a big month for us as we reach 16 years in business! Each year is another milestone that seems to hit each time I blink. I can’t fully express my gratitude to everyone — team members, clients, friends and family — for making this possible and looking forward to what’s to come for us!
Spring is off to a remarkable start. Between Jeremy Hansen becoming the first Canadian astronaut to travel to the Moon, while handling IT issues up in space, to how the cybersecurity landscape continues to shift, we’ve got some great articles for you to check out.
Hope you enjoy this selection!

Cybersecurity / Technology Articles
Anthropic (creator of Claude AI) just built it’s most powerful model yet, but decided not to release it. It’s called Mythos Preview and it’s making waves in the news because of its ability to find security vulnerabilities, and would enable hackers launch huge campaigns. Instead of rushing it to the market, Anthropic decided to restrict access to a small group of partners in a cybersecurity initiative called Project Glasswing. The decision to pump the breaks here is huge, especially when the pressure to advance is so great. This is a great read!

We love to complain about Microsoft Outlook, but it turns out it’s not just an Earth thing! During Artemis II’s journey to the moon, NASA astronauts had to contact their IT help desk when Outlook wouldn’t work properly, having Mission Control remotely access their system to fix it. It really goes to show: issues arise, and even the smartest minds in the world need tech support at times!

Leadership & Personal Growth
There’s a big difference between looking confident and actually being steady. This is a fantastic piece from Knowledge At Wharton featuring Brené Brown and Adam Grant about how leaders struggle with the pressure to always have the answer. Grant mentions his go-to move for difficult conversations: “Here’s my view, but I might be wrong — what am I missing?” He says this one line has saved more relationships and decisions than many boardroom strategies. You should definitely check out this piece.
Leading With Grounded Confidence
In need of a bit of inspiration? Aspen Institute released this phenomenal blog post, filled with advice and thoughts on leadership from some of the greatest leaders of our time. They posed the question “What will great business leadership look like in 2026” and their response from a group of prominent voices is so compelling. This may not be a traditional article, but a great read!
